Summary
Oe cool but not finished yet ;-)
I am making a head scanner and will add the bits and pieces to this thing while i am making it. Things will change!!!
This thing will have an camera mounted to it and will drive around the object that I want to scan (a head for example :) . A a am using a Bühler motor to drive it but maybe i will use a stepper instead. Thats why i made it this way so i could slide different type of motor holders in my setup.
The print of the motor holder (part2_closed.stl) took 2 hours to print and has to bridge a insane gap (do not try this without a stepper extruder ;-)
I added the slide in holder as separate stl's because the may be of use to someone (also included as scad files in the archive.zip)
To be continued ....
Instructions
- Print part1 mount it on a bit of meccano.
- Print part2 put in the Buhler motor (!!! this one need modifying it was a very very tight fit when you slide it into part1!!!)
- Print motor to lego connector and epoxy it to the Buhler motor and connect it to the lego wheel (tricky one to print)
Slide the hole thing so that wheel touched the racetrack (got the racetrack from a secondhand store)
4 Print thing http://www.thingiverse.com/thing:5708 (laserholder and mount it on the meccano build)- more to come
