The bottom “support pads / retainers” are removable and replaceable, so you can swap them if your tablet is thicker (case, rugged cover, etc.). They’re designed and oriented for maximum strength along the load axis — exactly where the tablet pushes.

Hardware / BOM (only 2 types of parts)

• 4× 6×3 mm round magnets

• 4× M3×12 mm screws

That’s it — magnets and screws are the only hardware used.

Printing (recommended settings)

Everything can be printed in PLA or PETG. For ultimate peace of mind with hot tablets (charging heat, summer temps), print the back/holder part in ABS or ASA.

Strength-first settings (recommended):

• 8 perimeters / walls

• 8 top layers + 8 bottom layers

These settings maximize stiffness and make the stand feel “pro-grade”, especially around the hinge and load-bearing areas.

✅ STL files are already properly oriented for printing — just import and print.

Assembly (quick + simple)

1. Install the magnets (match polarity so it snaps closed correctly).

2. Assemble the hinges using M3×12 screws.

3. Snap in the bottom supports (swap to thicker ones if needed).
