Summary
Japanese Puzzle Box, easier assembly. Modified for less precise printers. Widened grooves and more gap between moving surfaces. Moderate amount of filing and sanding still required. Less sturdy walls, 8% less material used, probably less printing time required compared to original.

Sadly, I could not make my printer accurate enough to print this model unmodified. I really wanted this one to work, so I carefully examined and then modified various measurements. I think the result is not very far from the original. Instead of the metal bars, M3 screws works ok. M3 x 13mm would fit precisely, found only M3 x 20 mm. The one for the drawer must be no longer than 15.5 mm (head included). Cut it to size. The screws make their own threads, no glue necessary, also make disassembling and reassembling possible. I embedded two coins into the bar, hoping that that would make it more "responsive", see picture. I am not sure it made any difference. I used slic3r, same settings for all parts: Layer height: 0.2, First layer height: 0.35, Perimeters: 1, Top solid layers: 4, Bottom solid layers: 2, Fill density: 20%.
