Wow, I have been invited to give a talk on OpenSCAD at the local Maker MeetUp group! I'll bring my MacDaddy MacBook with HDMI output and use the files in this thing for the presentation. Looks like the google hangout or other long distance learning is out, however I have now applied for permission to teach a demonstration at www.openedjam.org which is a local show that may have distance learning as an option. We will see. I can always teach a hangout from my home, can't i?
I'm told that I am a good teacher and have taught in various informal settings before. Although I expect to be "sweaty nervous", I'll manage to deal with it and give a good show hopefully! Please feel free to add/change/modify the files in this thing according to the instructions given here so that all your ideas can be incorporated (or at least the ones that I deem to be sensible, usually all of them).
Also, if you would like to give a presentation on OpenSCAD then please feel free to use these materials - consider it to be an OpenSource presentation, we'll all work on it together and I'll be the one to roll in the changes. Enjoy!

The files are in numeric order with the first two digits telling us which files to show the audience first. The numbers range as follows.
00-09 Basic Instructions

40-49 Links and other Support Files

31-99 Unused
Font files are listed as *.dxf files and are not numerically indexed. Please note that 01_Newbie2Guru.scad requires animation settings (32 FPS and 32 steps). Yes, of course the guru section does animation... along with recursion, color shift, modules and for loops! And you get there from zero knowledge except for your programming background by watching a 15 minute lecture and working a few examples. Welcome to guruhood.
Please review these files and make any changes by making your own thing and referencing it in the comments, or alternatively you can use an online text sharing site to share the code, or if it's just a snippet then copy the code to the comment. Anyway, please feel free to suggest code changes.
