Design Concept

The eSun cardboard spool replacement model is designed for users who wish to replace or upgrade their existing spool systems with a durable and reusable option. The spool currently does not work on a centre hole spool holder.

Purpose

This replacement spool is intended to replace the cardboard spools, providing a more robust and long-lasting alternative and to function in the CFS system.

Printing Recommendations

Print in PLA or PETG for strength and durability. I used Petg as it has a higher heat tolerance for when inserting the spool in the dryer.

Assembly Instructions

2) Remove First Cardboard Side. Tear off the first cardboard side completely, exposing the inner hub.

3) Replace with the Plastic Bottom Spool

4) Align the plastic bottom piece with the exposed hub.

5) Press it firmly into position until it is fully seated.

6) Flip the Spool

7) Carefully turn the spool over so the newly installed plastic bottom is facing down.

8) Tear off the remaining cardboard side to expose the opposite end of the hub.

9) Install the Plastic Top Spool by screwing it into the bottom part.

Final Check

Confirm that both plastic pieces are secure.
