Mini Greenhouse Lid – Transparent Plexi Cover (Remix)
I found a great seed-starting tray model with small pots and decided to turn it into a fully enclosed mini greenhouse. I designed a matching top frame that holds transparent plexiglass panels, creating a clean, compact greenhouse while keeping everything visible and protected.
A lot of people reached out saying they liked the idea, so I’m publishing it here as a remix so anyone can download and print it themselves.
For my build, I sliced the top into multiple parts in the slicer and glued them together after printing. However, it can also be printed as a single piece by using pause-at-height in your slicer and inserting the plexiglass panels during the print.
All plexiglass panels are 2 mm thick.
Approximate dimensions:
Top panel: ~151 mm × 151 mm
Side panels: ~143 mm × 117 mm
I strongly recommend measuring everything yourself before cutting the plexi to account for printer tolerances and material differences. It’s been a while since I printed mine, so double-checking dimensions is a good idea.
Additionally, I drilled six small ventilation holes at the top of two of the side panels to allow a bit of airflow. This improved ventilation noticeably and works very well in practice.
If you print it, feel free to share your results.
