Summary
This is a web controlled 13A switch (UK spec.).
You can control the device plugged in with a push button, via a simple web interface or using Alexa (free registration on Sinric Pro required).
The box takes a standard UK 13A unswitched socket.
You will also need a tactile push button. I have about 6 of these working around my house now controlling lights (and even my 3D printer!).
Unlike commercial units you don't need to hand over your security to a random Chinese website. If you don't want Alexa control (use the simple web interface) then no registration on anything is required.
In addition to the PCB and schematic components you will need a small wifi module (https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/204186588842?hash=item2f8a7816aa:g:A0sAAOSw7z5jmgXG&amdata=enc%3AAQAIAAAA0BIshq16dj2N4402fWULSy%2BVhFNuD5HtZbcjGC4cbLxbZ110p1U1iQrOp6rjc1%2Fugqke7SE2k%2B23xgUWBsKR5Ws8EKec%2BZl0ilYKiFskHeIlLoVDGUjNMWqHWNKxpAjRDWn4ikJEleV%2F%2BxUgVfXhP%2B63avmcY%2BcQ8Ck2941mIC4owKZ5Tnwa9rUgvtmMEEZ%2BH%2FrCVcJVK5NwBTQ6TaTFNzf1pLO%2B5QWuJr%2FslhlGDH58cekeD14HvbspLNP0NraeDTXBS7BQA7mTuU9i7EArejE%3D%7Ctkp%3ABFBMopK2tLVi) and you will need to replace the flash chip on this module with a 32Mbit part (https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/295692382344?hash=item44d8a3b088:g:b9YAAOSwaWZj5Reu&amdata=enc%3AAQAIAAAA4MjEsjzpOZpcOgQdfWF9xT8TRy2%2BRRVBLd4sC0yex4UiqkEX%2B%2Bf4HcJi86XR7ikJnEOzhFaQTnFGNsFkge%2FgQ5dDEMTqW5BZSG83sEBzkAn2IDh3cnSAPmZrjK5D0EUE5o58Bt5uhJhqVf9UOg6IlQRxaPN4X6v3cr7RzAK07M8sh4oV%2BDVVyibb%2FtjGKm28OrO7e4FCkv0C0IZetIn6sAV5LKhSudw7Z%2FsnONG4gNd41mQqbUNj%2Brr3ihnkprsJDL6TtcfFXaSKYwCoFrzZUWHrA6HypluUGcKbp4CjH1q2%7Ctkp%3ABk9SR-TvwLS1Yg)
NOTE: This project uses mains 240V electricity. DO NOT mess with this unless you know what you are doing! I take no responsibility for anything that might happen if you don't heed this warning.
