By winding the tape into a spool
I've added new .stl files for a square telescopic rod with a side length of 20 mm, a flattened tape measure with a width of 16 mm, and 1, 3, and 5 screws, along with a bracket for a vertical PCB soldered SMA connector.
If you are using other types of telescopic rods (such as round ones), telescopic rods of different widths, or tape measures of different widths, you will need to generate the corresponding .stl files yourself based on the attached OpenSCAD source files. The specific operation is to first modify the parameter values at the top of the file, or to further adjust the shape of the telescopic rod in the "boom_cutout
However, with the help of OpenSCAD, this process is quite simple:
- Measure the width of the tape measure
- Fromhttps://www.openscad.orgDownload and install OpenSCAD.
- Launch OpenSCAD.
- Open the downloaded YYMMDD_yagi.scad source file
- Use the built-in text editor to modify the parameters at the top of the source file, and save the file under a new name
- Carry out rendering
- Export it in .stl format
- Cut it into slices and print it out.
I used PLA material for printing, with a layer height set to 0.3 mm, an extrusion width of 0.5 mm, and a fill density of 15%. I set up 3 layers of perimeter support and 3 layers of top/bottom support, so there was no need to use support structures.
