I plan to install a brand-new E3D nozzle on my Select Mini printer. I want it to be equipped with an independent cooling fan that can be disassembled at any time. At the same time, for performance considerations, I prefer to choose a radial fan. In addition, I also want to install the fan directly on the hot end mounting bracket, but the existing solutions on the market have always left me unsatisfied.
At present, the design is still in progress, and I am gradually improving it based on the actual measurement data - it has not been officially printed and tested yet.
To make it easier to fix the cables with cable ties, I specially installed a small hook on the left side, because the E3D's thermistor and thermocouple are located on this side.

- I used support structures for the first time during printing, but I found that these supports were really hard to handle and took a lot of time and effort to clean up.
- During the debugging process, I appropriately enlarged the opening size at the end of the nozzle to avoid support residue; however, due to the presence of the support ridges, the surface inside the cooling air duct has become less smooth - and I'm not sure how to solve this problem yet
- The fit between the E3D nozzle and the fixture is too tight, and it can't close smoothly as originally designed. Therefore, I plan to add a bevel at the edge or slightly enlarge the gap
- The nozzle could be a bit longer, about 1–2 millimeters
- The installation effect of the radial fan is very perfect and fully meets expectations.

- I redesigned the air duct and added an inner radius transition. In theory, this shouldn't cause significant obstruction to the airflow. My original intention was to be able to print successfully without using internal supports.
- I have also prepared a backup plan, which allows us to add support structures manually internally.
- The fit of the E3D nozzle fixing bracket has been successfully optimized, making it more stable.
- The position of the nozzle was adjusted downward by 1 millimeter.
- A new file called "w_supports" has been added, and I'm currently testing it. This way, even without relying on the support automatically generated by Cura, I can successfully complete the printing process.

The printing effect is quite satisfactory. Although I have reserved more space for the hot-end clamp, it still fits very tightly with the nozzle. I lowered the nozzle position by a certain distance and tried to print a manually assembled support version. The only difference is that the small flange on the left used for cable tie fixation was not set up with support, but even so, the overall assembly still worked properly.
