I bought a Swift 380T Microscope. Apparently I'm not allowed to keep it permanently on the kitchen table so it gets hauled down to the basement when it's not in use. (And really I shouldn't complain, nothing's been said about the random stagnant pond water I've been spilling on there...) I remove the ocular lenses / eyepieces before moving it so they don't slide out and get destroyed.

Previously, I would remove them and place them in tiny plastic bags. Then put those tiny plastic bags into a bigger plastic bag that also had a bunch of various metal parts and adapters and things. For the first time in my life I decided to be proactive about something and figure out a better solution before they got scratched all to hell.

This is a tray that can hold the lenses. If you print two of them, now it's a box to hold the lenses. If you glue some magnets in there, now it's a box that keeps itself shut.

(Yes, mine looks awful because I reduced the top/bottom layers to practically nothing so I didn't need to spend the entire day printing this. Also because I suck at printing things.)
