This is a coupler plate to replace the top coupler plate on the Lionel 3927 track cleaner. It mounts above the coupler. A pin between the top plate and bottom plate holds the parts together.

This is designed as a replacement for the original metal 3927 track cleaner cover plate. The original was held in place with 2 rivets into the 3927 frame. This replacement leaves holes for the rivets, in case they are still in place.

The replacement fits behind the opening where the coupler is mounted and extends to the top of the frame. A slot is left for the front of the 3927 car body to slide into.
