Color these Easter Eggs however you'd like. You can go wild with multiple hues or make classy 2-color versions.

They're hollow, with 2mm-thick shells, sturdy enough to survive toddler or feline play. A small hole in the top of the egg is ready for a hook or loop to make it a holiday decoration.

(To turn them into toys, you can add a rattling ball by pausing the print midway, inserting the Rattle, which is included in the downloadable files, then continuing the print. If your support settings put a support in the center of the ball, scale down the Rattle to give it room.)

File names indicate pattern density. The boldest pattern has seven cells. Complexity (approximately) doubles with each successive model: 7, 15, 30, 60, 120.

Printing is a challenge but proper settings result in good eggs. I printed these in ABS, using HIPS as tree support material. They will print fine in PLA or PETG with appropriate supports. I also used a 30mm brim to anchor the egg to the build plate. You can use 0.20 layer height, but lower values will help smooth the bottom and top curves of the egg. For best results, use variable layer height. A bit of sanding will reduce the ridges.
