Updated version of the sliding frame mount
The original mounting bracket would interfere with the Z-axis extruder on the right side, so I moved the entire chain connector to the left side of the mounting bracket, which left enough clearance.
I machined two link plates for the front and back ends of the cable chain. Please print one of each. In addition, I also printed 18 standard link plates and buckles for the Pro model according to the design of diogosantos88; while ddemeterco provided 26 for the Max model. The link plates with a hollow design should be installed on the side of the X-axis slide frame, so that the cable does not need to be bent at a 90-degree angle and extended downward. Print the slide frame mount upside down, with the clamp facing upward, so that there
This design was originally customized for the Ender 3 by diogosantos88. I particularly like this chain-link design: it prints very smoothly, and the stability after assembly is also quite good. Thanks to diogosantos88 for sharing it!
- Please note that doing this might slightly reduce the Z-axis height. I haven't tested the exact amount of the reduction yet, but you should be aware of this before proceeding: this step will inevitably reduce the height of your print...
