Recently, I started building a small greenhouse on my balcony and realized I needed a hinge to connect the frame of the cover to the main body of the greenhouse. Since the overall size is not very large, the load-bearing requirements for the hinge are not high, but I also wanted to choose a thinner and more compact model. Most of the hinges I saw online were more like door hinges - with a shallow structure and only one screw hole depth, which couldn't meet my needs at all.
So, I decided to spend some time experimenting with Fusion 360 to see what kind of design I could come up with. In the end, I designed this hinge: with a width of 30 mm and a total length of about 100 mm. It perfectly fits those narrow boards on my frame and is firmly and reliably installed. I estimate that it doesn't actually need all eight screw holes for fixing. Perhaps just two or four screw holes would be enough - maybe this is the direction of the next improved design.
