I'm particularly fond of those two-color "quantum" consumables, each side of which showcases a completely different color. The printed effect is unique and fascinating. So I thought: Why not make them myself? That way, I can use any color combination I want! So I developed a customizable model that can generate a spiral-shaped consumable filament, which you can easily print on your own 3D printer. As long as you set the color switching between different layers, you can create your own exclusive color scheme at will.
Of course, you can also use this creative idea to collect all kinds of scrap materials lying around at home and turn them into a super-long "eclectic" material—with various colors intertwined and colliding, blending seamlessly into a whole and showcasing its unique charm. You can do it any way you like, all depending on your creativity and preferences.
When using Customizer to generate the required length, you may notice a small circle appearing in the center of the spiral. This small circle is used to indicate that the full length you requested exceeds the currently available space range. However, the thickness of this circle is only 0.01 millimeters, so slicing software can completely ignore it.
It's important to note that this feature requires advanced techniques when performing slicing processing. At present, I've only tested it in PrusaSlicer, but I assume other mainstream slicing software also has similar functions, right? I've attached the PrusaSlicer project files for three different sizes: 5 meters, 10 meters, and 15 meters, and I've provided detailed explanations of the relevant parameters and precautions in the printing settings instructions.
