The Hario Switch is a great little coffee brewer, but if you want to brew directly into a mug, you have to be aware that the brewer has a skirt that extends below the rim of you mug, and (if you brew a full cup) could end up sitting in your beverage.
Enter the Switch Lifter - a simple raised collar to set on your mug onto which you set the Switch brewer. Lifts the Switch up high enough to get it out of the mug! It has raised inner and outer lips to prevent it from sliding off your mug, and also has a cutout in the outer lip to avoid pesky mug handles. The Lifter has a wide enough base to accommodate most mugs.
Super easy print - print it “upside down” with no supports. It doesn't need to be super strong, it doesn't touch food, and it doesn't touch anything particularly hot, so print it with whatever material you like.
Update: after using this for a while, I found it was somewhat fiddly to drop the Switch into the hole on the top of the Lifter. So I updated the model to have a rather large chamfer on the inner edge so that it's easier to drop the Switch onto the Lifter.
