Workspace Lights

They cost about $20 for a pair at the time of this posting. They are about 60 mm in diameter and 8 mm thick.
The lights come as a pair with a separate wall transformer for each. There are in-line switches in the cords. After checking the current I determined that both could operate quite well from one of the power supplies. If the two lights are wyed together they can operate from one of the wall transformers, resulting in one less switch to operate, one less wall plug occupied and a nice little 12 V power supply going in the parts box for a future project.
A pair of the lights provides nice, non-glare light for the workspace and the amount of light seems just right. They have a diffuser built in. As mounted, the faces are not in my field of view so there's nothing shining in my eyes. I'm pretty happy with them in both locations. I've had both installations in service for several months. I've had no problems with them and am quite satisfied with both the lights and the installation.
There are two mounting methods available in this posting. One is for a weighted cylindrical base with a slip-on hexagon column to mate the light to the base. I did that to make it quick and easy to dismount the light if I needed to get it out of the way (mine use a different base which is fastened to the table).
The other method, for the CNC mill, is designed to mount to the 2020 frame rails with M3 machine screws and T-nuts. For those, a left-hand and a right-hand mount are needed. I only included a file for one. Flip the model in the slicer to get the opposite-hand piece. I've also included a wire guide to be mounted at the back of the frame rail to keep the wires out of the works.
The Light Bracket, which assembles to the back of the lights, is designed for a pair of M3 machine screws and will need brass threaded inserts installed to facilitate attaching the lights. The holes are shouldered, and the inserts should be pulled in to the shoulder. There is enough room inside the light for Allen head cap screws with flat washers. Round heads would work as well.
The aluminum bodies of the lights unscrew to install the mounting screws. After attaching the light rear half to the Light Bracket, reassemble the light.
Note that the Light Bracket - LED and the Light Mount 2020 are similar. The short one goes on the back of the LED light; the longer one attaches to the 2020 mill frame. The extra length gets the light high enough to clear the mill table when the table is all the way forward.
Various lengths of M3 machine screws and related hardware are needed for mounting and attaching the lights to the supports. I used Nylock nuts at the pivot joints on both models.
