This gate latch is designed for gates without a pre-existing latch. It consists of a wall-mounted pivot bracket and a top mounted locking arm that rests on the gate, effectively preventing movement at the point of installation.

The cutout of the latch is exactly 1in x 1in x 2.5in, anything larger may not fit.
