Summary
I bought a 2nd hand Canon BG-E2 battery grip for my Canon EOS 50D. It didn't come with a cover for the contacts so to prevent damage to the pins and to avoid shorting the batteries in my camera bag, I created a simple cover.

I printed mine at high quality and the cover slides on snuggly to the battery grip. I'm not sure if a standard print will provide the same degree of fit.
