Replacement rollers for lower rack on Hotpoint HDF330PGR3BB dishwasher.
I own a Hotpoint HDF330PGR3BB dishwasher. One of the rollers for the lower rack fell off and it looks like it sat on the heating element for quite a while as I found it in the bottom, melted. Three others have mysteriously vanished. I decided to make a replacement.
They are not a replica of the originals, but rather my own design. I would recommend printing the entire set and replacing them all as it will cause the rack to wobble slightly having them mixed up with the originals. Two roller assemblies will replace this part number WD28X27241. They seem to go for about $10 USD on Amazon or about $40 USD if you're looking at a full set. You'll use about 88 grams of filament for the full set, so you'd be saving about $35 (not counting electricity/wear tear of machine).
I printed them using PETG, but they don't seem to spin as freely as I would like. If you look at them closely, you'll notice that they don't spin a lot when moving the rack in and out. However, the rack does feel like it's moving smoothly. Might want to try printing in ABS and smoothing them out using acetone or do some other post processing them if you wish for them to spin more smoothly but I'm personally happy with my results. ABS is also more heat resistant, though I have not had any warping issues yet and have run the dishwasher three times as of the time of upload.
