I'm building my Micron+ and instead of mounting the Rainbow on a Matchstick at a 90° angle I wanted it at a 45° angle with a cover over the top of lights to help focus the beam where I wanted it.
Since I made this file for my own situation - I only had two pre-loaded nuts to use - so the middle of the sections is a clip that fits my LDO 1515 extrusions.
Your experience may differ. For example you may have zero pre-loaded nuts, and might want to edit the file to have the clips on both ends of each mounting bracket.
Steps to Assemble
- Print the STL for as many light strips as you are wanting to mount.
- Insert M3x5x4 heat set insert into the holes. Make the tops flush with the print
- Mount the printed brackets into the frame with M3x8 BHCS. Go easy, you aren't holding a lot of weight, just pressure fitting it snug. Don't press too hard on overhang, press on back wall to snap into place.
- Run wires to the DIN side of matchstick in a proper JST connection. If connecting to a second, run those wires from the DOUT before mounting
- Mount the led strips with M3x6 BHCS
- Plug into controller on RGB port, and add configuration

- ABS/ASA filament if printing in heated chamber
- (4x) M3x8 BHCS
- (4x) M3x6 BHCS
- AWG 22 (or similar) wire
- JST 2.54 connectors
