Summary
I like these battery-powered LED lights that look like a wall-mounted light switch and use 3 AAA batteries. They're available from Harbor Freight and other places. Unfortunately the mounting options are somewhat limited - adhesive velcro doesn't work that well.
This mount can be attached using #8 screws and drywall anchors, and the switch fits fairly solidly on the mount pegs. It's important to be able to remove the switch to access the two battery compartments when it's necessary to change the batteries.
I used glow-in-the dark filament although it's not that visible since the mount is basically hidden under the switch - there's just a tiny amount of material peeking out from the sides.

Notes:
Although the mushroom shape of the pegs suggests they might need supports, they really don't, and removing supports could potentially damage the rather narrow stem. So, no supports needed.
