A geological unit with uniform thickness can have variable outcrop widths depending on the dip of the unit and the topography. This block model demonstrates these relationships. This block model shows the intersection of an inclined marker bed with both a steep and a gentle topography.

The unit thickness marker bed and body files can be merged in the printing software and get assigned different colors. These files can be found in the dual_extruder_printer_files folder.

It is of course also possible to print the pieces individually and glue them together as well! The second folder, named “single-extruder printer files”, contains each of the pieces that can be printed separately.
