During 3D printing, especially when using small filament spools, problems can arise with the filament loosening or falling off the spool due to the printer's high accelerations. This phenomenon is often caused by rapid changes in the movement direction of the print head or the bed during printing, which causes the spool to spin abruptly, leading to unorganised unwinding of the filament. This often results in filament tangling or jamming, causing the print to fail.
I tried to solve this problem by slightly braking the spool with simple clips and securing it in one place. My solution is also very easy to install and remove from the original spool holder.
If you use a different spool holder, you can easily adapt my solution. I am providing not only the STEP files for download, but also a link to the OnShape environment, where the modification can be easily made by changing the 'main_inner_dia' variable.

Assembly instructions:
As a precaution, please ensure the correct positioning of the brake relative to the spool itself; it will only touch the spool on a limited surface, as shown in the image.
