I'm currently on a mission to print specialized labeled brackets for all the remotes in my house so that we can hopefully stop losing the things on a regular basis. Most of the work has already been done for me, but I didn't come across any perfect matches for the remote that comes with my Sony bluray player and figured I might as well just make one. It's got an angular design that matches the profile of the remote, a built in label, and is designed to be affixed using double-sided tape or command strips. The notch in the back is sized to exactly fit a strip of Gorilla brand double sided tape and let it sit perfectly flush against your wall/headboard/coffee table. I don't own any other Sony remotes to test with, but I imagine it's possible that it'd work with quite a few of their other ones as well. As it is it's scaled to fit one that's 18mm thick and includes some generous tolerances so that the remote doesn't end up having all the paint scraped off. If you really want a tighter fit, you can scale it down by 3% in all dimensions.

In my desire to match the aesthetics of the original remote I accidentally forgot to leave myself an appropriately sized flat spot to print it on (oops) but found it works surprisingly well if you print it upright with a brim and tree supports. Unless you're printing with a .25mm nozzle or like using single perimeters it'll probably print solid no matter what you do - but for what it's worth it was designed with an eye towards printing it with a .8mm nozzle.
