Zigbee2MQTT logo functions as a wall mount for the SONOFF zigbee dongle.
The USB cable I'm using is an Amazon Basics USB extension cable. You may need to modify the inner yellow piece if your cable is different.
This model consists of two main pieces. An inner piece and an outer piece. During printing and assembly, we're going to be working with the inner piece more than the outer.
If you would like a Dresden ConBee II version of this, let me know.
Print Suggestions:
- Layer height 2.0
- Infill 18%
- Supports - Yes
- Print the inner yellow piece first with the bee facing up. Change filament to black at layer 100. Supports needed on this piece.
Tip: The yellow filament I used was more translucent than I liked so I printed the top 10 layers of yellow with 90% infill before switching to the black.
- Print outer black piece.
- Print white abdomen and brackets. Make sure to print two male brackets.
Build Instructions:
Super glue is involved
- Glue the white abdomen pieces to the body. The longer piece goes in the bottom space.
- Slide both of the male brackets into the female bracket. Use the female bracket as a template to properly distance the male brackets from each other.
- Use the two squares on the back of the inner piece to line up the bracket as you glue the male ends to it. I suggest applying the glue to the yellow squares.
- Slide the outer black piece over the inner piece.
- Test fit the hardware
- Secure the female bracket to a wall.
- Hang it and enjoy.
