adaptable book rack mk1.

  this book rack allows you to store books or other media of various dimensions together and hold them upright. when you remove a book, the teeth fall down and keep the remaining books from slumping over. 

   printing/assembly

 print as pieces and assemble. no supports should be necessary. i printed in PLA and did not test any other materials. just print multiple of the teeth to fill the rack. you may have to work the teeth up and down a little to get them to swing easily. if you are still having problems take a little sand paper to it. 

  design

 this is my first pass at this design. Its not where i want it to be but it works so i wanted to put it out into the community. please leave feedback or ideas in the comments and feel free to remake as you see fit. fusion file included for customization.

• the holes are for material reduction but i got lazy with the back. I'd rather have the random sized holes on both parts or some other aesthetically pleasing pattern applied. 
• I'd like to add a way for multiple racks to be attached to one another. this model is small as i was testing the idea and to allow it to be made on a MINI
• the model could very easily be reduced to just the teeth portion so that it could be added the back of an existing shelf. that's a remix id like to see ;)
