A bracket to hold dowels. I use it to store filament spools.
This model is designed for 1" dowels.
There are two parts:
- Junction bracket: has a small ridge in the middle. Meant to join 2 rods on each side.
- Regular bracket: can slide to the middle of rods, or be at the end of a link.
You can customize it (change the size, the dowel diameter, ...) with the onshape link.
STL, 3MF and step files are included.
In my case I used 1" x 4 feet dowels in 4 segments to cover ~16 feet. Estimated 64 spools capacity.

I recommend at least ~1.5-2mm vertical shells (the number of perimeters will depend on your extrusion diameter). This is what determines the strength more than infill.
I printed mine in PETG, but you may be fine with anything depending on the length of your dowels, the number of brackets, ...
Post-Printing =============
- Install the first bracket, either in a stud or with good anchors. The models here are meant for #8 x 2" or M4x50 screws, but you can change that in the onshape model.
- Install the dowels in the brackets - might need a very slight pressure.
- Install the second bracket to hold the dowels in place.
- Repeat.
