I was using a shallow plastic food spoon to fill desiccant holders with tiny beads of activated alumina when I began wishing for a small scoop to make the job quicker and less likely to spill. A coffee measure would help, but I wanted a long handle so I could reach inside the desiccant jar. And maybe the handle could hold a 6x3mm magnet so I could hang it on a steel surface.
The handle was the hard part. I wanted to put the top of the magnet at the same level as the rim of the the scoop so it would lie flat. I also wanted to reinforce the point of attachment between the scoop and the handle. My first several tries were ugly, but I finally figured it out, using Rhino and its CageEdit command. I used Grasshopper's Volume function to size each of scoops (well, I sized each core, then built each scoop around its core).
I made three different sizes and uploaded them here but after a day of reflection I realized that they would be much more handy if I made a series of labeled scoops. So I've deleted the originals and replaced them with these nine improved variations.
Download the full set or choose the size(s) you can use. Each is labeled with its capacity in milliliters (same as cubic centimeters). For reference, a coffee measuring scoop is about 30 ml. Each has a hole for an optional 6x3mm magnet. The smaller hole in the back of the magnet hole lets me easily salvage magnets from obsolete printed versions of the scoops. No need to ask me why I need them.
Printed on Prusa Core One in ABS but PLA, ASA and PETG would work equally well. I used organic supports and printed the spoons right-side up, so the inside of the bowl remained smooth. The optional 3x6mm neodymium magnets are friction fit: tap them into place.
