Wanted to try doing some work with resin and picked a simple razor prop from Star Trek. I have learned resin is a big pain. I tried printing a two sided mold and using some mold release spray on the pla. It didn't go so well. I found that I just had to destroy the mold to get the part out and the mold left lines along the seal and it wasn't very clear. Some things that did work afterwards, was sanding the resin down with some fine grain sand paper and then coating the resin with a hard sealer spray to make it more transparent. If I did it again, I would just pour everything into the full mold(included) and just tear the mold apart during the removal to avoid the lines. Either that or sand and cast the bottom piece in silicone and then use that as a mold for the resin. Good luck if you want to try it.
