My printer is located such that I want it as far back towards a window as possible, to conserve  front bench space. That made the real spool holder inconvenient. This spool holder can sit on the window sill off to one side.

I use 3D Fillies, an Australian brand filament. The core is designed for their spool, 65mm wide with a 55mm hole, and will keep it centralised.
