Inspiration
My prusa CORE ONE kit didn't come with enough M3nN nuts, so I didn't have enough for the middle screw on the top vent slider. This design uses an M3nS nut instead; I had extras of those.
Printing
To match the other printed parts on the CORE ONE, I printed this in Prusa Orange PETG. It doesn't take much filament, so the 2$ sample amount will be plenty.
A small amount of support material is necessary to hold up the indentation on the bottom of the piece. The indent is there for the insulating insert (see assembly).
Parts Preparation
If you have the pre-assembled CORE ONE then the M3x10rT and insulating insert should be pre-installed onto the top vent. I don't know where you can find an M3nS nut because the top vent normally uses M3nN nuts (see inspiration)
If you have the CORE ONE kit then prepare:
- M3x10rT screw (1x) found in fasteners 2/3. Longer screws should also work.
- Insulating insert (1x) found in the Electronics & Fasteners package
- M3nN nut (1x) found in fasteners 1/3
Assembly
- insert the M3nS nut into the square hole of the printed part. Push it all the way in.
- insert the M3x10rT screw into the middle vent panel from the bottom.
- insert the ‘insulating insert’ to the other side of the screw.
- screw on the knob (with the nut in it). The insulating insert should fit into the indentation on the underside of the knob.
