I liked IainPrintz's burner guard, but there was just one problem: it was designed for good ovens and not my garbage Hotpoint, which my landlord installed specifically to gas poison me.

This model has a smaller backplate, with the two I've included coming in around 6mm and 7mm. You will almost certainly need to adjust the thickness, as each one of my garbage stove knobs has a different distance between itself and the oven. You need a TIGHT fit, or else you will still be able to push in the knob and activate the gas. If you mess up sizing, the mis-sized guards make popular cat toys.

It slots onto a ~1cm rod of some kind and includes a 7mm notch to accommodate the handle on my oven's knobs. I also took off the original's text because it looks bad in PETG (which I recommend using if your oven gets as dummy hot as mine).

This is NOT meant to be childproof, nor has it been tested with children. It is meant to help prevent adult human error. :)
