This is a case for mounting GPS antenna of base station onto a 1 1/4" steal pipe.
The case can be used for simpleRTK2B Starter Kit LR from ArduSimple (150mm plate diameter) or Marotronics (160mm plate diameter).

Improvements against the ArduMower GPS RTK Basisstation Kit from Marotronics:

• protects GPS sensor and cable against weather
• stable mounting on a bigger steel pipe (1 1/4") typically used to go through a roof.

Needed material:

• 1x 1 1/4" pipe
• 10x screw 3.5 x 16 mm
• 2x screw M4 x 12 mm
• ca. 60cm TPU filament 1.75mm (optional)
• 2x cable tie
   

Printing

Both top and bottom of the case can be printed without support. This can be achieved by printing both top and bottom part upside down.

Adding a gasket

You can add a soft TPU filament as a gasket (I used NinjaFlex). Press it into the cavity of the top part using an appropriate tool.

Preparing the antenna plate

You have to drill 2 additional 4mm holes through the antenna plate for the fixation screws:

If you use a base plate with a diameter of 160mm, you also have to create some room for the cable:

Assembly

Before mounting the base plate you should fix the antenna cable with 2 ties:

Now you can fix the base plate and then close the case and the case is ready for mounting on the pipe.
