Did your vent window latch break, and the post is no longer usable? Well mine was when I bought my XJ. Instead of doing the easy thing and pulling a full vent window assembly from the junkyard, I decided to recreate the full post.

If you actually intend to use this in your jeep, you will need to print this in at least PETG. ABS/ASA is better if you live somewhere hot. 

Please note that I am not sure if the “figure eight” base is the same in all smoker windows, or just mine. I created the base in Fusion 360, got fed up, and finished it in OpenSCAD. Both project files are included if you want to peek at those and witness a nightmare of bad practices. Included in the OpenSCAD file is the source for the nut, and a WIP of the button. The threads are not a standard size.

I have been using this in my XJ for a week or two and seems to be doing fine. Any updates will be based off of my experiences.
