To make it fit your finger you may need to load the f3d file in fusion 360. The stl and 3mf were modelled for my own finger dimensions. They probably won't be right for your finger.
In the Fusion 360 file there are parameters you can tweak to resize it for your finger. You'll need to take measurements of your finger with a set of callipers and a ruler.
Refer to the diagram of the hand included to know what measurements correspond to what fusion 360 parameters.
Parameters:
- FingerBaseDiameter is the diameter of your finger at the point closest to your hand.
- FingerKnuckleDiameter is the diameter of the middle of your first knuckle (from the base of your finger)
- FingerEndDiameter is the diameter of your finger just past the end of your second knuckle (close to finger nail).
- DistBaseToKnuckle is the distance between the base of your finger to the centre of your first knuckle.
- DistKnuckleToEnd is the distance between the centre of your first knuckle and just past the end of your second knuckle.
- Allowance is the extra spacing inside the brace so that your finger will fit snugly but not too tight. 0.5mm worked well for me, you may need to experiment for your printer.
- WallThickness is the thickness of the walls of the brace. 2mm worked ok for me. You might want thicker or to anneal the plastic so it's not brittle through the layer lines since your finger trying to bend will put pressure along the weakest direction for the layer lines.
