Wanted a bracket to get my First Alert EZ Fire Spray First Alert EZ Fire Spray, Extinguishing Aerosol Spray, AF400 - Fire Extinguisher Can - Amazon.com up off of the worktable. It was mixed to friction fit on the upper edge of the enclosure, which is ¾" thick.
As you may have guessed, I think it ended up being a little too large. Don't get me wrong, it's really stout and I feel good about it holding up the can. I also feel pretty good about my chances fighting off a burglar with nothing more than my wits and my Obviously Too Large Fire Extinguisher Bracket. So I got that going for me.
Anyway, you could probably chop some off of the two ends and some off of the mouth that slots onto the enclosure, if you were so inclined. I think it would still work just as well as a fire extinguisher bracket, but maybe less well as a blunt instrument weapon. You decide.
Oh also. I printed it in PETG and didn't add any supports, so the bridge at the mouth was a little saggy, but if you went PLA with the typical 100% fan speed I am sure it would be fine. I just tell people I did it on purpose, they don't know any better.
