This is a redesign for the US general toolbox that makes the latch more secure and less likely to break at the handle. The design changes include:
-Steeper latch angle
-Longer latch
-Better fit between latch and case
-Handle notch support
-NOTE-
It does NOT include any spring. the original spring or similar needs to be reused.
Same or similar mounting screws of the original need to be reused.
I have 3 different tolerance versions available. A loose, Medium, and Tight depending on your printers ability.
I personally recommend printing the loose version out of nylon, that seems to hold up the best in the long run (9 months so far with no issues and daily use).
If for some reason your still having fit issues, the latch sides can be shaven down for better fit.
Recommended print settings:
-.2mm or less layer height
-grid/snug supports
-maximum perimeters
-keep stl orientation
i attached pictures for assembly, print orientation, support placement, and an example of “max perimeters”.
1st video is functioning, 2nd video is the example of new style latching, 3rd is the old (original) style latching.
