This is a hand (or foot or hammer) tool designed to press 608 bearings into and out of things (like fidget spinners). It prevents damage to the bearing caused by excessive force to the inner race. The install press will press the bearing flush, but can't press past flush. The removal sleeve fits over the install press tip and allows you to press bearings out. The install tool alone also makes a great bearing cap removal tool for those really stuck caps!

I first uploaded only the install tool. Folks seemed to like it, so I designed a removal sleeve and a base (to allow the bearing to pop out) to go along with the install tool. Now it's a fully featured 608 bearing multi-tool!

The install tool may work with other 8mm inner diameter bearings.

This part was designed in a handful of steps. First I brought in a bearing model from McMaster. Then a sketch was created and revolved to make the overall shape. Finally, I used the chamfer, fillet, and draft tools to get the geometry I wanted on the bearing interface side.

While the first version was functional, the design saw three iterations. First to better capture the bearing on the center post, and then last to change the geometry for a cleaner print on the bearing interface side.

The removal sleeve and base were designed in the same manner, but only took one iteration as I had already dialed in the fits.
