This prevents the inadvertent turn on of the MFJ-259, which then gobbles up 8 batteries in a heart beat.

Cautiously apply adhesive (I used JB Weld) to the back side taking care to prevent squeeze out near the button which would then prevent you from turning it on.  In that case, your batteries would last much longer.
