My CR10 is standing on a shelf, next to my kitchendoor, and the front / builtplate stands beyond the edge, so I am constantly afraid of running into it. It also prevents you from standing too close to the printer, when you are mesmerized watchint the printing process. ;-D
I suggest printing this in a high-vis color.

It can be mounted pretty simple on the v-slot beams, I used these M3 drop in T-nuts: https://www.printables.com/de/model/243890-t-nut-m3-drop-in-rotating-v-slot 
I suggest droppin these in, and turning them 90 degrees in the right angle and spot at first, instead of screwing them on the srews and pushing them in together.
