Hinged Ruler, Folding Ruler

This design is a response to a K-5 teachers' request for an instructive number line for use with young children. Because of the limitations of the printer bed, it is hard to print a long number line. So the original idea has evolved into a flexible ruler, which can be used for multiple other purposes beyond basic number sense.

Each piece is 32 mm long, from center to center, with a height of 24mm. Two versions are provided: 12 pieces and 24 pieces.

One can print the whole thing and then color the numbers. Alternatively, one can pause the printer at 24mm plus one or two layers, and then change the filament to another color.
