I used one of these USB breakout boards and a (optional) red LED with a resistor as an indicator. Contact prongs salvaged from some old charger I happened to have but one can use M3 bolts or anything conductive.

The foot and top pad are best printed of something softer, like TPU.

Glue a small magnet  to the underside of the interface plate.
