None of the Crysknife designs I've seen really grabbed my interest so I decided to design make my own - Of course, this meant Ignoring the original measurements and almost doubling the length almost turning it into more of a long knife than the 20cm blade mentioned in the books, But I'm quite happy with the shape and feel and it came together pretty well.

The hilt/handle, looks nice, but is a bit uncomfortable in the hand - It forces the fingers to sit a weird way (resolved in V2) but I still like the look of it.

So far, I've printed this but not finished painting it.

Dimensions (rounded up to cm) are;

length: 36cm

width: 34cm

height: 31cm

I've included the model in several chunks as well as in one form for various sized print beds;

Files are as follows;

• Crysknife_v1_whole.stl - The whole model.
• Crysknife_v1_left_side.stl - The left side of the model.
• Crysknife_v1_right_side.stl - The right side of the model.
• Crysknife_v1_right_side_hilt.stl - right side hilt of the model
• Crysknife_v1_right_side_blade.stl -right side blade of the model
• Crysknife_v1_left_side_hilt.stl - left side hilt of the model.
• Crysknife_v1_left_side_blade.stl - left side blade of the model.
• Crysknife_V1_Pin.stl

Users with larger print beds can print the whole thing with supports OR  just the left and right side and glue together using the pins provided to align the halves.

Users with smaller print beds can print the side hilt/blade sections and glue together using the pins provided to align everything.

A small degree of sanding and finishing required but not that much.
