This is a camera mount for use with the Longrunner LC26 style Raspberry Pi cameras that have IR illumination and cut filter. It is designed to be mounted on Creality Ender 3 style printers with 2040 or 4040 aluminum extrusions.
Materials
- Camera
- FFC Pi camera cable (at least 30cm/1ft recommended)
- 1 print of each model
- 4 each M3 x 16 screws for camera housing (frontplate, backplate, & rearplate)
- 1 each M3 x 16 screw and M3 nut to mount camera housing to column
- 4 each M4 t-nuts & M4 x 10 screws to mount base to printer rail
Assembly
- Mount camera in housing pieces using M3 x 16 screws. The screws will cut threads as they are installed.
- Mount camera assembly to the column using the M3 x 16 screw and M3 nut. The holes in the column ears and the rear mounting plate may need to be enlarged to clear the screw threads.
- Slide FFC clip onto column.
- Using the lower screw clamp the column to the base.
- Attach base to printer using M4 x 10 screws and M4 t-nuts.
- Thread Raspberry Pi camera FFC cable through slot in base and FFC clip. Attach to camera and attach other end to Raspberry Pi.
- Orient camera by loosening screw and nut at rear mounting plate and loosening lower screw. Retighten once desired camera view found.
