Overview
The Bambu Lab H2D specialises in printing soft TPU, but the spool must be mounted above the printer and fed through the top with the lid removed. There isn't really a good way to achieve this, so I designed a simple system to hold the spool in a great place securely.
Remixing
A STEP file is included. The source CAD can be found here: https://cad.onshape.com/documents/5a1fc7be9f9c55ae8cdac319/w/e87b4dca7af9465cc4a6486b/e/e8a94237acc9e8c6ab3c8f04?renderMode=0&uiState=6879a77586552b72dfdcf021
Onshape users can create a copy to edit, and non users can still right click on parts to export in a format of their choice.
Printing
Quantities are listed for each file. Parts are already oritented and don't require support. Any rigid filament should be fine since the lid is off and the parts won't get hot.
Fitment
- Remove the glass lid.
- Slide on the two base pieces at the rear right of the frame. The width can be adjusted later.

- Each arm lowers from above and uses a spring clip to stay in place. It will flex out of the way and then into the locking position by itself.

- Position the spool between the arms and slide the base part from the side. It passes through the rectangular opening in the arms and the centre of the spool, then lowers to lock into the arms.

Removal
Reverse the fitment steps from above, squeezing the spring clip in the arms to release them from the base.
