Needed some carpet runner rod holders. Got some carpet rods from Menards which are .25" in diameter. The mounting hardware supplied with the rods would be difficult on my stairway so i designed my own.

I made the holders with Black PLA and mounted them with #4 3/4" brass flat head screws. The file RunnerSupport.stl are the lower mounts while the RunnerSupportUpper.stl is mounted under the top lip. I thought I could use the RunnerSupport.stl for both but found one of the mounting legs stuck out too far.

I made it tight on the carpet with only 1/8" gap for the carpet to fit under. I still used carpet tape to keep the carpet from walking on the treads, (local code requirement) Be sure to drill pilot holes. Brass screws can easily twist off in red oak.
