Summary
There are a TON of bed leveling models out there, but I needed one that accomplished a few specific things.
First, I wanted to stick with one that I could remove as a single print, vs the style that prints a number of objects across the bed.
Next, I wanted to make sure I could index the single print to the bed after I took it off to understand where it needed adjustment. In this design, the 90 degree inner corners point to 0,0 of the XY plane, to home. All other corners have a 3mm radius.
Next, I wanted to do a very light bridging and gap test on the corners and middle as well. Each shape has a small recess groove 0.5mm wide on the bottom that should be still visible once printed. If it isn't, you should consider very slightly lowering the bed at that corner. Of course, depending on your bed adhesion, this might not be possible.
- Last, I wanted to have some large radii corners and some sharper, to check for curling.
This print takes about 15 minutes, and if you are watching it as it prints, you can make adjustments and cancel early if it doesn't seem to be going well. There are two sizes, try out whichever one fits your bed best.
Hope this helps! Let me know if you have any suggestions.
