My wife really likes the original fruit holder, but it didn't work very well for heavier fruit or fruit with denser flesh like apples so she asked for a version with threading.

Just print it out, screw it into a fruit half and strap it to a tree. The birds will thank you. Well, they'll mostly just poop on things near your tree, but you'll feel good and maybe get some nice pics of your area's indigenous flying fauna.

I've included the original OpenSCAD file, as well as marcaxi's awesome Metric Screw Thread Library which it references so you won't have to download it separately.
