Summary
I have created a construction toy similar to the existing ThinkFun Maker Studio building kits.
Supports skills in Science, Technology, Engineering and Math (STEM) and stimulates imagination and creativity.
Ages 7 to adult.
The slot connector allows a rod to slide up and down along a straight line. The slot connector is fixed on the axel rod with a hub cap and wheel which allows for it to pivot on angle. This can teach users how much force and leverage is need to lift material/objects.

Playing in the sand.
Tractor on saw dust duty, cleaning up after the miter saw.
How I Designed This
I started with some inspiration from a STEM mind map. Which led to some ideas about construction toys. I began to model a large scooper in solidworks from images on the web. From that I created the vehicle assembly. That required a way to connect the scoop to the assembly, which is where I used connections similar to the given pieces.
